Kwanzaa Day 1 -- Umoja "Unity"

Umoja (ooh-MOE-jah) means Unity, and it is the principle for the first day
of Kwanzaa
. Our families and communities need unity in order for them to be
productive and to survive. On this day, we pledge to strive for -- and to maintain -- unity in the family, in the community, in the nation that we have helped to build, and with our PEOPLE.

I like the meanings of the days
of Kwanzaa. I just wish that ALL
people would take them to heart and
come together in peace. Enough of
all the race wars and crime.
I know, here I am in dire need of
opening my mouth to a couple of
co-workers and I'm preaching peace.
If ya worked with them you'd know
why I'm in need of a good smart
mouth letting.
