How Many Boxes??

So, today's the day....I pick up the keys and FOB (the little deal to get me in and out of the building) at 2pm from the building's developer and then get set to get the place cleaned up for tomorrow morning's move. So, exactly how many moving boxes does it take to move from a 2,200 square foot home on three levels to an 876 square foot condominium on one level? Tell me your answer in the comments. The winner will get a big old sloppy wet virtual kiss from me. Today is our last day in our home that we love so much. Our neighbors garnished our time here with coconut sorbet, white wine from Spain, and dark chocolate last night on the back patio. Sweet memories. Off to work now.....San Jose and back home by 11:00am. Gotta run.

However many boxes you have, it will always take at least one more. ;)

It will feel like millions but it's probably less than a hundred. Done with work by 11? That sounds like my kind of hours.

Boxers? I'm surprised you wear underwear at all... :-)

I'm guessing 75, just because I love guessing stuff.

Hope it all goes as smooth as a twink's bottom. (which is far less creepy to think of than a baby's bottom, although not THAT much, now that i think of it.)

I'm going with 15!

I'll go with around 65! However if you are like me it could be over a hundred and I downsized before moving. ;)

I wish the two of the you the very best with the move and settling in to the new place.

I am going with at least 85! It will boggle the mind just how many boxes it takes to contain all the stuff!

Best wishes for a smooth and stress free move into your new home!

I would say 38 and a few bags......

I wish I could give an exact number, but I'll try anything for a kiss. So my best guess is: twice as many as you think you'll need :) That's always been the way it worked out for me, hehe

It really depends on teh size of the boxes. How many will carry books (smaller), how many for Tupperware (larger) and of course wardrobe boxes for clothes.

I was going to say 100 because I think you bought boxes and they would come in an even number. Then I thought, Oh you PAID for boxes so I will go with 50.

I thought I recall you saying that not much was going to be following you, so I am guessing we're looking at boxes for clothes. And with how hip you are with today's fashions, I'm going with 15 boxes. Here's to a day of smooth sailing, that everything goes off without a hitch. Don't overdo it with the labor either. :-)

Remembering you wrote that you 'sold most of it', and knowing your desire to downsize, I'm going with 31 boxes.

Good luck!

Mark :-)

Well, with all the stuff...
I'd have to say that you have
40 boxes.

Congratulations. Sounds like so much to do. However,, as you know it will be worth it.

I say, it will take 47 boxes, yes 47 boxes to get into the center of your new home.

Hope you hired some attractive hotties to take those boxes up to the new place. Take care.

Good luck with the move! As for the boxes, too many would be my guess.

I say 33 boxes. And do we get to pick where the sloppy kiss goes?

TJ said...

All the best with the move and my guess is 42.

It takes 72 boxes! Congrats to you guys - I can't wait to hear more about the new pad.

25 boxes more or less, depending on the size. White wine from Spain, my country! Yumm, enjoy! Hope I'm right!!

I am thinking it will take 42 boxes and a crocheted handbag?

I'm going with a low bid and guess two dozen. That's if you guys really really reeeally downsized. There's not a lot that'll fit in 876 sq. feet.

If you've sold most of your stuff, then boxes are necessary only for kitchen, bath, books and clothing. So...let's say 35.

Thirty-eight and three-quarters.

I hope it's all going or has gone smoothly.

Damn. There's a bunch of low ballers here. I got a lot of crap and your house is bigger than mine and there are two of you so I'm saying 256.
