I've always had my eye on this sign that hangs in Touchstone Coffee House, one of our favorite little coffee shops here in Portland. And in light of this month's uprising with regard to Proposition 8 in California and other states as well, I thought it only appropriate. One of my favorite signs so far has been "No More Mr. Nice Gay." I mean, if we can't start standing on our own two feet and speaking up for what is the right thing, then when will we ever stand up?

Great observation, Lewis! While not of the same copy and design, we have one hanging in our church's social hall.
I so hear you my friend. In hind sight, we as a gay community should have send representatives to various parts of the community to talk and give our side, if you will. So, here we are. Great sign, would be nice to have that sign in stone. lol

Such a good sign. But isn't it sad that such a thing has to be posted in the first place?
I hope we channel 'no more mr. nice gay' a lot in the next couple of years.
I might make a similar sign for our front porch.
One thing proposition 8 has changed in me: I now realize how important it is for gay people to be out and visible and to stand up for ourselves.

WOW! That is some sign! I'd like a copy of it for my job, where I hear people talking crap all the time!
I think you tell the owner/manager of the coffee shop that you appreciate the sign and the fair-mindedness behind it. Its important to thank people for doing the right thing.
