You'll see that my stat counter is approaching 10,000.....and probably will hit it late today or tomorrow. Not that bad for a six-month-old blog that knew absolutely nothing about the whole deal that long ago.
I'm hoping you can help me jump the 10,000 mark in a huge way. I'd like to see how many hits I can get in the next 24 hours. I know, I know....we all want the fame and fortune and hits. Our egos beg for it. Our clickers just itch for it. And we check, over and over, to see if the number have erected.
Would you mind helping me? Pass along to your readers, your email list, your porn list, even your mother-in-law, my site and encourage them to take a look today. You'll get there soon enough Lewis. I decided to pass on following my numbers a long time ago. it became too obsessive of an activity. Plus when I switched to Wordpress I had it set up so that it would only read a person's hit only once in a day rather than multiple times. You get a truer idea of who is coming in and if new readers are coming in, which is what you really want.
What do I get out of this???? Damn Bean Counters!

Talking of counters, over here in Edinburgh we have just had the general election. In Scotland the Scottish National Party (Alex Salmond) won so at some point there is going to be a referendum on "independence" for Scotland. However, Labour got back in overall in the UK ie the spineless wonder, Tony Blair, however he is due to stand down in favour of GORDON BROWN who I think I like! But the most interesting issue concerning "counters" was the number of spoiled ballot. They were using an electronic system with two ideologies - cross in the box and numbers - some folks just may have got confused. However, I did here a group of women in the Highlands were going to spoil their ballot by putting "rotten egg", "rotten egg", "rotten egg". The good thing is that a spoiled ballot is still counted as it is deemed a protest vote - in Scotland about 150,000 were spoiled.

I don't think we will have a referendum on independence here in Scotland. Even with the Greens, Alex Salmond doesn't command half the Parliament. Does anyone seriously think Labour, Conservative and the Lib Dems would vote in favour of it?
