Who Knows What ??

Who knows what about you? If I ask your best friend, will they know your favorite color or soft drink? How about which kind of car you drive? Does your husband/wife/partner/whoever know how to order your coffee for you? Or if you'd like to spend your vacation in a big, vibrant city as opposed to a cabin in the mountains....does anybody know your preferences? How about whether you like to cook or not? Does anybody know that you'd prefer to go commando rather than wear expensive underwear? Does How about the fact that you may ride a bike the majority of your life and leave the car at home. And, god forbid, that you'd prefer sweaty dudes to those who doll themselves up with deodorant and body sprays and such? Does anybody know that about you? If you're the sort of guy, like me, who likes to shed his clothes at the beach, do people around you know that? Can you rely on your friends to order lunch for you -- do they know whether you'd prefer a vegetarian dish or extra sauce on the side or if you don't want any beans with your Mexican combination meal? Do your friends know that you'd prefer a quiet time at home with friends rather than head out at 10pm for a night of drinking and dancing? Red or white? Would your buddy know which color of wine to order for you if you weren't in the room? Or which movie you'd choose? It's funny sometimes. But occasionally the people closest to us know the least. It's weird what information we share with others, even those we may be in a relationship with. It's not good nor bad. Neither moral or amoral. It doesn't have to be one way or the other. You aren't required to tell everyone in the world about your choices and preferences. But some do. Over and over. And some never do.....their lips are sealed nearly all of the time. Just an oddity of the human experience. That's all.

So true! I'm certain I know about my friends than they do me. I'm tight lipped most time and others I really ain't hard to please.

The answer to all of these is Yes!

Nope. No one knows me.

That is very true. Every person knows pieces of us. But I don't think anyone knows everything.

My close friends know all of these things. It kind of feels good to have friends who know all that.

And I like that new pic of you up there :)

You hit that spot on.
I remember asking a patient to describe his wife, who recently died. He could not describe her, or give me her basic information.

Someone can 't tell anyone my medications, but he is able to name all my cousins - high marks for that.

after 44-1/2 years of knowing you, i can pretty much tell when you're mad! also what movie you would choose over another, and your food preferences.

I second michael rivers!

no one knows the REAL me (sometimes I don't even know me)...I have put true tidbits out on the 'net...like the fact that I go commando every day...but there are some facts that will go to my grave.

I agree with Anne Marie in philly....I don't even think I know me. (and that makes me a little scared and sad)

I'm not good at keeping things to myself (that is about myself). So on that note I guess those closest to me pretty much know what I like. To answer a few of yours questions: commando, black coffee, a Volvo, blue and black beans and rice with my Mexican dish.

See ya! : )

I do not think that anyone person in my life knows all about me, not even my wife. Some around me may be able to answer a few of those questions (or questions equivalent to me), but not many and certainly not all of the questions. There is a sadness as I realize that.

I am a Woman of Mystery. Mostly because people just can't figure me out. I'm different things to different people, and that's as it should be. Life is good.

icy cold diet coke, chips 'n salsa.....that epitomizes you!

i really like birdie's comments. me 2!

It is odd how so many of us shield ourselves from being too open towards others. however, in retrospect most people have experiences that conditioned them to protect themselves from others.

If we ever go out to dinner; just order good wine, red or white!

I'm a "sharer" so I believe my friends know quite a bit about me, and my partner certainly does. He could order for me at any restaurant, pick out a shirt I'd like in my favorite color, and surprise me with a bowl of my favorite ice cream. And I like that.

My Husband knows more about me than I know about me. It is not always pleasing.

What's bizarre to me is that I don't think there's anyone in my life at the moment that could answer any of those questions. Wondering if that says something about me, or the relationships in my life... Got me thinking on this one. Looks a bit sad from this angle.
