I've been waiting for this moment for a very long time. It actually gave me a few goosebumps when I finally saw his name on the ballot. It's so wild, after all of this time, that it is here. Oregon has statewide mail-in ballots. Mine arrived today and will be returned promptly...just to be sure. Do you suppose that the election officials are standing by downtown, waiting, pondering upon which date my ballot will be returned? I suppose they have better things to do. Oh, I was going to write my own name in as a "Write-In" but didn't think I stood a chance.

WOO HOO! Way to go Lewis! So glad
that moment came for you...I have
to go and do mine now....I'm not
going to let this pass me by...
HUGS!!!!!!
The deed is done? And a good deed it is!
Gobama 08 :)
I'm jealous you got to vote for him first...
Nicely done. Now let's hope enough people follow suit.
Congrats! I made my vote last weekend for Obama! Yippy!
A lot of people are doing mail in ballots this year it seems. I usually go to the polls but we are going to be out of town on election night so we figured we better get our ballots in early.
I would write you in but Arizona laws are rather bitchy about that sort of thing...
We do our ballots next week. I hope to hope!
I always like going to the polls on Election Day itself, but I've already got the X on my sample ballot next to Obama's name. And No on Proposition 8 of course (I'm in California, and that's the anti-gay-marriage thing). I now want to get an Obama/Biden yard sign, to annoy my McCain/Palin neighbors!
YAYZ for lewis!
we here in PA have to wait til 11/4, but it's all OBAMA, all the time at my house.
and at both my neighbor's houses.
let's see, that's 6 (count 'em!) OBAMA votes right there!
I got the same sort of butterflies when I got my ballot and filled it out too.
We're watching history unfold!
Hooray!!! Good for you.
I live in one of two Washington counties (I believe) that still have live election-day voting. Honestly, I'm looking forward to the energy of it. But I want my vote counted now!! (Vote Early, Vote Often).
I would have voted for you! You could kick Obama's ass! But I find it strange (by the other comments) that in the same election, that the rules are different not only in different states, but in different parts of the same state.
Yeah!! I did my vote last month, absentee ballot from Spain!!! :) Yeah!
Greg
got my ballot int he mail this last weekend-- Will get on it this week and send in...I bet I get "chicken skin" (what we call goose bumbs in Hawaii) too!
Classy. Good call.
Good choice Lewis! hee hee
But here in Michigan, I have to wait till election day to vote.
I hate long lines. But I'll be there!
I wish all states had mail-in voting. It would really ease the process for many who stand in line for hours to cast their vote.
Mark :-)
Just think if a write-in campaign did start for you through the blogging world.....I'm picturing the Green Room going lavender. ;-)
Looking forward to the moment for myself...I was going to absentee, but decided to wait until November 4.
