The Party Is Over

The party is over. The guests have come and gone. The leftover food has been tossed. And we have an amazing new president! Does anybody else feel the hope that's been painfully missing for a very long time? I swear, it was so incredible to be with good friends on this historic day. Once in a lifetime. You'll read my buddy Stephen's Live Blogging Story Here from our party. Thanks to all who attended.

Your blog title scared me at first. But I agree with Peter that the party has just begun. I hope everyone had a fantabulous time together at your pad!

seriously, I cried during the oath. my boss shut down our office, and all 7 of us went to a nearby restaurant for lunch and to watch CNN HD TV. the photography was impressive, since I used to live in DC and have walked the national mall many times. aretha franklin still has good pipes (rock on, sistah!). barack's speech was inspiring.

now comes the hard part - transforming america from a laughingstock into a leader again. I don't envy our new president's job.

happy to hear your party was a smashing success!
